I'm like one of those fertility statues I'm so hip!
True Story!:
I find it difficult to work on assignments in the limited confines of my room, because as anyone who helped me move in knows that the confines of my room contain limitless possibility for procrastination. Throwing on records, guitar, TV, DVD, B-Ray, XBox, Wii, Nerf Gun target practice, lego, and don't forget the vastness of the internet! Now that I have a bike though I have a way to escape the infinite impossibilities of my room and do my work in trendier Oakville spots. So I went to Starbucks. Got an espresso (if I'm going to drink coffee I'm going to get something I like) and sat down to go through the paper. A project I thought would take me the better part of the evening to complete was done in 40 minutes. I didn't have anyone to namedrop with so it went by pretty fast. It was a good time, I may not rely on it as my place of choice for assignments but it definitely didn't hurt to be isolated.
Humpday
Well I started watching Monsters VS Aliens last night, yes there are some funny one liners but like everything post Shrek (1) it hasn't come across as completely genuine. Pixar movies roll out every year but the heart they carry with them, its like every movie is going to be the best children's movie ever made, and most times they almost succeed. Dreamworks on the other hand seems that their only goal is to make anthropomorphic animals do humanoid things. I did like the roll reversal with the two kids making out in the car, but it feels like I've seen it all before in something better. It was entertaining, but renting in blu ray wasn't really worth it. The quality didn't improve enough to justify a premium rental fee.
I know this has nothing to do with school for the most part but when your roommate is in character animation you tend to notice more of the little things and I felt I had to write about it.

When I Said...
This weekend has been pretty cool, I went downtown yesterday
- Queen West to Criminal Records, bought Johnny Cash Remixed
- Urban Outfitters, orange watch-cap and white orange and blue scarf
- Apple Store, to see about a hardshell case for this weak aluminum computer (found, didn't buy)
- Chum City Building, they were filming a TV show or movie outside. NYC cars everywhere
- AMC, at Dundas to watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (AWESOME)
- Walked back to the GO station and then home while it poured rain.

A week or so until my classmates and I descend upon Toronto. Adam's idea to have us all do something to get to know each other seems like a good idea to me. Hopefully we will come away from it with some good memories that will keep us together as a class stronger than other programs where you only really know one or two people.

That movie last night was way cool! Jack & Meg White were there. Plus I almost bumped into Amy Acker when I turned around with our popcorn. I've had a crush on her for 10 years so I was too terrified to say anything. Another great start to another great weekend with Steph. Thursday is the 250th anniversary of Guinness! 17:59 Sept 24 2009

Under the Great White Northern Lights
A brother and sisters journey across the Greater Toronto Area to see a film about a brother and sister's journey across the Great White North. Hopefully Steph will have her phone on her this time and we can take some pictures, I'm so excited to watch Under the Great White Northern Lights. I have my White shirt and Red jeans ready to go. I just have to kill 5 hours till Steph gets here. Fringe and food should suffice.

Keeping up with the Joneses
Well I've got the mac. I've got photobooth, and thats all this computer is good for, well that and making me look cool at Starbucks. Kim died on Saturday, I still feel pretty shitty about it. I think I'll upload a picture of him sometime soon. I've got a good bout of homesickness right now, my mom sent me my first parcel. But class awaits, more later, more frequent from now on!

The Macintosh Fiasco
(image wouldn't upload)
Well, turns out I need a Mac computer for school. So padre has found a line on a good one for cheaper than on the futureshop website. Then he's gonna buy it and I'll pick it up in Oakville, I will make another attempt at reaching the Oakville futureshop either tomorrow or Friday to get it. It doesn't seem right to me to pay double the price for half the computing power. I will always be a PC guy and this changes nothing really. I do think however that it requires me to go to starbucks as often as I pass one though.

If it weren't for the terrible music...
I'm in. My family just left! And I've got a touch of the homesickness. This is my new workspace, sure its pretty junky but everything is in it's place, theres lots of people hanging around outside, playing giant twister and volleyball, I can already start to see dried leaves falling off the trees. I think I'll go throw on a record!

Good Bye Sister Disco
Well, I spent part of the morning at work, I can't believe how they are limping along with my responsibilities now. Oh well, as long as the boss doesn't have a heart attack. I ended up putting in a little sod at the french immersion school. I packed the Jeep, which went way too easy. I'm not worried about class, or feeding myself, I'm just worried about the solitude, of not sharing a TV with my mom or dad.
I'm going to have to choose my own channels now, and that's what's really scary! I'm going to miss movie nights with my dad, and jen, and home improvement shows with mom. The only show I watch under my own accord is Mythbusters. At least I'll have Steph there to help.
I'm going to miss them, and that fugly skyline of ours!

Don't You Want to Know How We Keep Starting Fires?!
Aparently all my friends are going to dinner tonight with me and I get to pick. So, just like my last supper before surgery and celebratory dinner afterward I have chosen Fratelli's, possibly the best all around menu in Sault Ste. Marie. I'm excited but I still have to focus on packing today, which will be hard knowing that a panzo awaits!! I hope something can be worked out for my suicide week in terms of camping or adventure! I'd like a story to tell when I get back to school that doesn't involve videogames.
